IAM Sparkling Lecture III: Prof. Rodney S. Ruoff from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) Visited

Prof. Rodney S. Ruoff, invited by Academician and President Huang Wei, from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) visited Nanjing Tech University. He delivered a wonderful seminar for the third IAM sparkling Lecture on 18^th March, 2016. The seminar was held by Prof. Shen Zexiang.

Prof. Rodney S. Ruoff reported the presentation, entitled "Introduction to the CMCM and Carbon Materials for the Future". The seminar contained his scientific research on artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and detection of gravitational waves and so on. In addition, he showed his research platform in Center for Multidimensional Carbon Materials (CMCM), an Institute for Basic Science (IBS) Center located at UNIST.

As reported, Prof. Rodney S. Ruoff is one of the world experts on carbon materials including carbon nanostructures such as fullerenes, nanotubes, graphene, diamond, and has had pioneering discoveries on such materials and others. The energetic discussion between Prof. Rodney S. Ruoff and all the attendees from Buffer Base for Overseas Talents (Institute of Advanced Materials, IAM) will pave the way for the further cooperation.
