报告摘要
Energy transfer is extensively involved in luminescent materials that are at the heart of many photonic applications. In this talk, I focus on our recent efforts in controlling energy transfer in various material systems for achieving tunable emissions under different types of excitations/stimuli, such as ultraviolet and near-infrared photons, mechanical action, and electric field. We demonstrate rational control over luminescence processes and properties by leveraging complex yet manageable interactions within single-phase and composite materials. We show that these luminescent materials hold promise in many exciting applications in sensing, information security, and biomedical sciences.
