演讲学者:沙特KAUST大学Chun Lu教授
报告题目:High Performance Computing in Large-Scale Complex Systems
Short Biography:
Dr. LU Chun obtained his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from National University of Singapore in 1994, after receiving his BA and M.Eng from Peking University (1984) and Beijing Institute of Technology (1987). In 1997, he joined A*Star, where he worked in Institute of High Performance Computing as Senior Research Scientist and Program Director. From 2008 until present, he works at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia. His research interests focus on the computational mechanics, particularly to conduct simulations on high performance computers. He has over 120 papers published in peer-reviewed journals including Science, Applied Physics Letters, Physical Review B, Carbon and others. Dr. LU had led a team of 80 plus research scientists and engineers, carrying out fundamental and application-oriented research in computational solid/fluid mechanics, computational micro/nano-mechanics, computational biomechanics and multi-scale models. He also worked with multinational companies on the product design and development, product performance assessment and manufacturing process planning.
