研究领域包括先进功能材料的设计合成及其在能源存储与转化方向的应用,侧重研究硼簇和多金属氧簇基复合材料的合成及在电催化、光催化、电池电极材料等新能源领域的应用探索。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家自然科学基金青年项目、国家博士后科学基金面上项目及江苏省博后科研资助计划项目等。近年来,在国际权威期刊共发表SCI论文40余篇,指导的学生获得研究生优秀学术创新成果校长特别奖1人次、CSC国家公派留学奖2人次、校优秀学位论文2人次、优秀毕业生2人次、校级三好研究生1人次、特等学业奖学金9人次等等。
